Gas Explosion Knocks Power Plants Out of Service in Damascus Countryside Welat TV – Erbil The Syrian Electricity Company announced that the Deir Ali, al-Nasiriya, and Tishreen power plants were taken out of service following an explosion on a gas pipeline at the Tishreen Thermal Power Plant in the Damascus countryside, disrupting the gas supplies needed to operate the facilities.
