Tokyo, Sept. 23 (SANA) Syrian table tennis players Hind Zaza and Rachel Abboud advanced to the women’s singles round of 32 at 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Japan after both secured straight-games victories. Zaza defeated Pakistan’s Kulsum Kayhan 11-3, 11-3, 11-2, 11-6, while Abboud beat Lebanon’s Bissan Chiri 11-8, 12-10, 11-9, 11-6, the Ministry of Sports and Youth said Wednesday. Both players will return to action on Friday for their round-of-32 matches.
