Surplus Production: Syria Bans Imports of Apples and Lemons Welat TV – Erbil The National Import and Export Committee at Syria’s Ministry of Agriculture has issued a decision banning the import of apples and lemons due to a surplus in domestic production exceeding local market demand.
The decision, issued on Thursday, September 24, extends the ban on apple imports until November 30, 2026, while lemon imports will be prohibited from October 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027.
